SRH AT GS RUDAKABUKIRWA
Youth Dialogue for Peace and Development – YDPD on the 9th of October 2024 continued its activities throughout the Wimusiga Ivu Program that aims at mobilizing teenage girls and boys about their Sexual Reproductive Health and Right, with the purpose to avail information for them and prevent early pregnancies.
Like it does such activities in other schools with teenage boys and girls, this time GS Rudakabukirwa was the target in order to strengthen the Wimusiga-Ivu Club that operates in the same school. and this Club was created throughout this program of YDPD as a platform where teenagers learn more about their sexual and reproductive health, so that they are equipped for their better future.
YDPD does not only avail information to those teenagers but also tries its best to provide little to the identified pupils from vulnerable families and give them school materials and and other sanitary tools that are mostly needed by girls. Such activities lays a big contribution to preventing teen pregnancy that has been rising around districts of our country and this particular program is to amplify the prevention and protect the future of our teenagers.
YDPD commend the support of local authorities as well as the school that opens doors to have such activities conducted and support pupils. it also thanks it members who contribute the little they have to share with those who can’t afford even that little.
YDPD is committed to build peace through fighting everything that distort peace among people, and it is to do so through dialogues, theaters and games, workshops and other possible channels.
